About Our Equine Operations
Holly and Dave Benze opened this 34-acre farm on Browns Bridge Road in western Howard County in 2015 with Athena Haresign, who does the teaching and the training. Lessons are private only, 45 minutes for $65 on a farm horse, with the eleventh free; riders run from ten to seventy years old, and the work is balanced seat, dressage to first level, jumping and cross-country. Haresign has handled off-track Thoroughbreds since 1986 and has worked at Belmont Park since 2009, also starting young horses and preparing sport horse breed show entries. Board is full care in 12-by-12 matted stalls with Dutch doors, up to ten quarts of grain, Triple Crown, Tribute or Southern States feed, and no more than twenty horses on the property. Trailer-ins are welcome.
