About Our Equine Operations
Colorado Saddlery traces its roots to 1945, when four saddle makers who had trained at the H.H. Heiser Saddle Company started the business in Denver to keep traditional saddle-making methods alive after the Second World War. The retailer now runs two Colorado showrooms, one of them inside Bell Mountain Ranch Equestrian Center on Bell Mountain Parkway in Castle Rock, open Tuesday through Saturday. Stock includes saddles for barrel racing, cutting, roping, trail riding and English disciplines, alongside bits, spurs, bridles, cinches and saddle pads from makers such as Tucker, Circle Y, Bear Valley and McCall. Custom saddle orders and professional saddle fitting are also offered. The company’s Hunter Leather Company division, founded in 1952, produces leather firearm accessories, and a second location operates in Westminster.
