Melanoma vaccination and electrochemotherapy appear on the equine oncology list at this Cave Creek Road referral center, which also offers nuclear scintigraphy, myelography and dynamic endoscopy. Surgery is covered by C. Renee Andrea, DVM, DACVS and Elyse Durket, DVM, DACVS, both Diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Large Animal); Jillian Minuto, DVM, DACVIM, handles internal medicine, supported by an isolation facility and neonatal care. Arthroscopy, laparoscopy, laser and standing surgery are performed on site. Ambulatory dentistry uses water-cooled power equipment for diastemas, retained caps, malalignment and extractions. Equine podiatry is handled by Brent Barrett, DVM, CJF, a consulting veterinarian. The hospital keeps emergency cover 24/7 and also treats small animals.
