About Our Equine Operations
Since 1993 Bridget Gibbons and Colin MacNair have operated Buckhorn Farm, relocating from Apex to its current 81-acre site in Moore County’s horse country in 2017. The masonry stable holds eight stalls with paved hallways, full sliding doors and individual ceiling fans, plus an indoor wash stall with heat lamps and hot and cold water, a heated and air-conditioned tack room with lockable cabinets, and separate paddocks. Boarders may choose stall board or limited pasture board. Riders have access to a lighted, covered arena with mirrors, a 200-by-300-foot jumping ring, a 20-by-60-metre sand dressage arena, a 20-by-40-metre grass arena and a grass stadium jumping field, along with adjoining Walthour Moss Foundation trails. The farm hosts five to six NCDCTA-recognised dressage and combined test competitions each year.
