Polo fills the largest part of the inventory at The Tackeria’s shop at 13501 South Shore Boulevard, Suite 107 in Wellington: mallets from Zappala, Casablanca Polo, Ona, Hurlingham, Prisa and Palermo, plus whites, knee guards, elbow pads, balls and polo boots, sold alongside hunter/jumper and dressage tack. A house-label line runs to 133 products, with Ariat, Horseware’s Rambo, WeatherBeeta, LeMieux, Farnam and Breyer among the outside brands. Engraving, embroidery and tack repair are handled in store. The site says the business has been outfitting riders for over 50 years. Hours shift with the season: Thursdays run to 8pm from November through May and close at 6pm between June and October.
