About Our Equine Operations
Four veterinarians work under owner Erica Lacher at this Newberry practice, which sees horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, dogs and cats on farm calls and at its own hospital. The haul-in side has three equine stalls under cameras for round-the-clock remote monitoring, six grass paddocks, a five-acre pasture, two small-animal exam rooms, a surgery suite and a full laboratory including Coggins work. Lameness cases draw on digital ultrasound, radiographs, shockwave and Functional Electronic Stimulation, with PRP, stem cells and acrylamide gels among the injection choices. Acupuncture is performed by a veterinarian, and herbal therapies are offered. The hospital administrator hosts the practice podcast, Straight from the Horse Doctor’s Mouth.
