About Our Equine Operations
Two Diplomates of the American Veterinary Dental College in equine practice — Jack Easley, MS, DVM, AVBP, and Bo Rainbow, DVM — head this Versailles practice, working with Miller Thornbury, DVM, and intra-oral photographer Cathie Greenwell, BS. Work begins with a routine, lightly sedated oral examination assessing occlusion, oral soft tissues and endodontic and periodontal health, with dental x-rays added where a fuller picture is needed; sharp points and overgrowths are carefully reduced only if necessary. Surgical work covers coronectomy, tooth sectioning, alveolectomy and minimally invasive buccotomy during standing surgery, plus root canals and endodontic treatments, sinusotomy, and extraction of wolf teeth, deciduous caps and teeth with advanced periodontal disease. EOTRH is treated by extracting the diseased teeth.
