About Our Equine Operations
Lessons at this River Circle Drive ranch in Richmond run an hour, take riders from age six, cap groups at four people and cost $55 singly or $270 for a six-week package; unused passes roll over to the following season. Teaching follows natural horsemanship — love and leadership rather than force, fear and intimidation — and takes beginners as well as experienced riders. Jona Ryan gives twenty years of work with horses and holds a certification in equine assisted learning and equine assisted psychotherapy; barn manager Brittany Ryan teaches natural horsemanship lessons and guides scenic trail rides through the Daniel Boone region. The wider programme includes trail rides from $40, a Frontier Ride from $140, summer camps from $300, a half-day equine guided natural horsemanship clinic from $130 and a women’s equine empowerment workshop from $60.
