About Our Equine Operations
Misty’s Mission Stables frames itself as an equine education and riding lesson programme rather than a straightforward barn, requiring every enrolled rider to work through grooming, tacking, ground work and leadership training alongside time in the saddle. Ashley Messer runs the Nowthen programme using natural horsemanship methods, now offering full western and English instruction after previously concentrating on one discipline. Enrollment is deliberately capped at thirty students who buy fully into that structure, protecting the wellbeing of the lesson horses, and students unwilling to go beyond riding are turned away. Beyond weekly youth and adult group lessons, the programme runs seasonal day camps, clinics and workshops, coordinates 4-H horse projects, and offers horse-themed art classes and birthday parties for younger visitors.
