About Our Equine Operations
Locally owned and serving Carson Valley since 1987, the shop at 1245 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville describes its stock as animal feed, farm supplies, tack and apparel. Horse feed comes from western millers — Star Milling, Elk Grove Milling, Armstrong Milling, LMF, Bar ALE and Rival Show Feeds — with Formula 707 and Tight Joints Plus among the supplements, and hay and straw form a department of their own. Rider kit is better represented than saddlery: Troxel helmets, Kastel Denmark apparel, Hamilton hardware. Aisles also cover cattle, poultry, camelids, deer, dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, garden and pest control. A farmers market runs in the yard from 3 to 7 on market afternoons, about twenty stallholders selling produce and baked goods.
