About Our Equine Operations
Idaho Equine Hospital operates a fixed hospital on Equine Drive in Nampa, backed by a roster of board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, and emergency and critical care. Surgeon Pete Knox, DACVS, lists equine dentistry among his specialities alongside lameness and fracture repair, while associate Shane Smith concentrates on dentistry and reproduction within general equine medicine. The hospital’s reproductive programme covers fresh and frozen semen breeding, embryo transfer and stallion collection in house, with a stated focus on hard-to-settle problem mares, and it partners with a separate reproduction centre in nearby Caldwell. Ambulatory vehicles carry farm-call service across the Treasure Valley, and the hospital keeps emergency cover every day of the year.
