About Our Equine Operations
Two licensed clinical social workers and a doctor of physical therapy run this Magna charity at 7452 Utah 201. Mac Butler, LCSW and Robert Lindquist, LCSW both direct and treat; Lindquist has more than twenty years in equine therapy and works with young people and families around ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety and trauma. Susan Redmond, PT, DPT handles the physical side, including early intervention for children under three, and describes hippotherapy as a strategy in which the licensed therapist manipulates the horse’s movement to engage sensory-motor and neuromotor systems. Psychotherapy is run in individual, group and family formats, and services are free to military veterans, children, couples and families in need. The herd is made of rescues: Luna, abandoned in Kearns; Ollie, who arrived malnourished; Gallo, who came from a holding facility.
