About Our Equine Operations
A donor bought the land at 5870 W 10400 N in Highland in 2001 to give this nonprofit a permanent home, and an indoor arena was gifted in 2017. Programmes run to therapeutic riding, mental and behavioural health, occupational therapy, equine-assisted psychotherapy and natural horsemanship. Charlene Lenkart LCMHC, Katie Carlson ACMHC and Katie Barber LCSW deliver ground-based equine-assisted psychotherapy with no riding involved, alongside in-office talk therapy; BCBS, DMBA, EMI and Select Health are accepted. An EAP hour costs $150, group sessions $100 a person, and a family of four $250. Riding classes run 30, 45 or 60 minutes weekly at $235 to $325 a month. Fourteen staff, over 100 volunteers and 20 donated horses support the work.
