About Our Equine Operations
Bluffdale’s equine hospital on Loumis Parkway keeps 35 stalls, from 24-by-36 outdoor runs to climate-controlled boxes up to 14 by 18 feet, and holds horses in stocks for dentistry, colic evaluations, reproductive procedures and gastroscopy. Dental services run to examination, floating with motorised equipment and hand floats, and tooth extraction, all performed under sedation. The reproduction laboratory collects, evaluates and freezes semen and handles embryo flushing, implantation and freezing; mare services can be done in the field or at the clinic. Banjo Whiz, a 1998 AQHA bay by Topsail Whiz out of Ebony Chex with over $742,000 in offspring earnings, stands here at $750 cooled or frozen, with affiliate stallions from $600 to $1,250. Four veterinarians are named: Kelli Behunin, Kelsey Richards, Hannah McKee and Lyle Barbour.
