About Our Equine Operations
Wild Prairie Boarding runs a pasture-based operation on 45 acres on County Road DD in Glenwood City, built around what its site calls a small-herd model so that a horse will not get lost in the herd. Five pastures are rotationally grazed, with a dry lot, shelter and automatic waterers as backup, plus a 60-by-120-foot indoor arena and wooded trails on the property. Boarders receive free-choice netted hay around the clock, salt blocks and daily health checks; stalls or private paddocks are reserved for medical needs or severe weather rather than everyday use. The owner lives on site. No lessons or training are offered here; pasture board runs $260 a month, with tack, feed and trailer storage included.
