About Our Equine Operations
In the mid-1950s this Oxford ground was RedBob Farms, one of Michigan’s foremost thoroughbred racehorse nurseries, run by Ford executive Irving Red Duffy and Major Robert Borg, a retired cavalry officer who coached three Olympic teams and entered the US Dressage Federation Hall of Fame in 2003. In June 1972 a RedBob colt, The Cutter, became the first Michigan-bred horse to win the Michigan Derby. Jessica Filiatrault moved her hunter/jumper business onto the 260-acre property in 2016. Board costs $950 each month and covers matted stalls on pine shavings, up to three feeds a day and individual or small-herd turnout across nine paddocks. Training is optional: $425 half, $700 full, lessons $75.
