About Our Equine Operations
Four meals a day, one supplement, seasonal fly spray and simple blanketing are written into the board at this 30-stall eventing yard on Plain Road in Hatfield, where Kate Cameron lives on the property and does the night checks herself. Horses go into the Morton main barn or the larger stalls of the old tobacco barn, out to individual dry lots or seasonal pasture with a companion. Riders share a 60 by 120 indoor and a 100 by 200 outdoor on sand and rubber. Cameron ran a medical practice as a physician assistant for 22 years, is a Massachusetts licensed riding instructor, and competed the chestnut off-track mare the farm is named for through Training level. Her homebred son by Riverman evented to Preliminary and now helps give the dressage-based lessons.
