About Our Equine Operations
Two brothers, Matthew and Noah Bassett, began this business in 2008 after spotting a local supply shortage; they moved to a rented farm in 2011 and bought a forty-acre property in 2015. New Jersey timothy is offered first-cut and second-cut and baled three ways — two-string, 3×3 large squares and rounds — while western forages go out double-compressed as timothy, alfalfa, orchard grass or an alfalfa-orchard mix, palletised or floor loaded for international customers. Teff grass, cubes and pellets, long rye, wheat and oat straw, four grades of shavings and feed for everything from horses to tortoises fill out the yard at 311 Extonville Road, Chesterfield. Pick-up is weekday mornings by appointment.
