Seven years photographing and editing magazines for the American Paint Horse Association put Rachel Griffin’s work on Paint Horse Journal and Chrome covers between 2013 and 2019, before she launched a portrait business in 2017 and went full time in 2021. From Oklahoma City she shoots horse-and-rider sessions at golden hour, fine-art black background portraits, and farm calls for equine businesses. Sales and conformation coverage is $350 per horse: both profiles, a three-quarter angle and a headshot, plus either a black background headshot or five to ten performance frames, edited on an expedited schedule. Stallion promotion runs $850 for conformation, black background, under-saddle and at-liberty images with commercial release. She shows AQHA all-around aboard Captain.
