About Our Equine Operations
Darren Modricker started this portrait studio in 2002, after a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and an apprenticeship with photographers there. Horses are photographed either at the Harleysville studio, set inside a former bank building at 474 Main St, or on location — the studio says it travels throughout the tri-state area and brings all the same equipment it uses indoors. A second room operates at 2212 Penn Ave, West Lawn. Creative packages start at $399 and vary with the location of the shoot. Clients move through a consultation, the shoot itself, a viewing appointment and then framed artwork pickup. Equine, farm-animal and family sessions can be combined.
