About Our Equine Operations
Established in 1996 on Wilson Mills Road in Chardon, the place is owned, operated and lived on by Susan Channing-Lloyd, who trained at other people’s barns before starting her own. She rode with the USPC gold medal winning team that competed in Japan, is certified by both USPC and NARHA, and has coached students to the Pennsylvania National, Capital Challenge and Washington International horse shows. Hunter/jumper instruction runs year-round for every level and age, with bridles, saddle pads and fitted saddles supplied; a half-leasing programme suits riders wanting more saddle time. Boarded horses get first-cutting alfalfa three times a day, four feedings in all, and a warm bran mash with carrots on Sunday evenings.
