About Our Equine Operations
Nine hay types are stocked: alfalfa, Bermuda, orchard, an orchard-alfalfa mix, timothy, teff, three-way, straw and Chaffhaye. Grain lines run to Purina, Triple Crown, Hygain and the USDA-organic Pro Series Equine, with rolled oats, rolled barley, cracked corn and wheat bran loose, plus supplements and bedding from pine shavings to wood pellets. Buck and Luanne Wicall started the store in 1972; their daughter Adrienne Manhan runs it today. Delivery reaches the west San Fernando Valley, the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas for a small fee, and anything not in stock can be special ordered. A loyalty scheme gives every thirteenth alfalfa bale or bag of hay pellets free. Ranch goods include stall mats, water tanks, feeders, automatic waterers and mounting blocks.
