About Our Equine Operations
More than 250 cross-country fences, set from pre-novice through intermediate across over 100 acres, make up the schooling ground on this 267-acre farm in western Loudoun, founded in 1986 by Phyllis Dawson and her mother Grace. Dawson rode Albany II to tenth place for the United States at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and is certified at the top level of the USEA Eventing Coaches Program. The farm stables 46 horses, with a 70-by-200 indoor arena on rubber-and-sand footing with lights and dust-control sprinklers, a 200-by-210 jumping ring, and sand and grass dressage areas. Full-care board takes in feeding, stall cleaning, daily turnout and blanket changes, with mares and geldings in separate double-fenced fields; weekend pleasure riders are told they are as welcome as competitors.
