About Our Equine Operations
One hundred twenty miles of riding trails lead out from this North Hayden Road farm, in business since 1984 under owner Janet Hischer, a fifth-generation horseman who holds the American Grand Prix Association’s Rookie of the Year award and has competed and trained in the United States, Canada, Europe and Mexico. The plant includes 34 matted stalls with fans, two outdoor arenas, five turnout paddocks, a round pen, three tack rooms, seven cross ties and wash racks, and a six-horse Euro Exerciser. Hunters, jumpers and hunt seat equitation are the disciplines. Lessons are taught privately or in small groups across three levels, from mounting and pole work up to full courses with lead changes, on farm horses that rotate week to week. Summer and holiday camps plus an internship fill out the programs.
